At Maker & Merchant, we take our duty to be good stewards of the earth seriously.
While it is impossible for us to ship our pure oils, therapeutic salts and other botanicals to you completely package free, we are constantly evaluating methods to limit our impact.
Some of the ways Maker & Merchant works towards a low-impact experience is:
- Consumable, returnable, or resealable packaging;
- Recyclable packaging or recycled material packaging
Both our glass and HDPE bottles are widely accepted at curbside recycling programs and we ask that our consumers take advantage of this. Used glass and plastics are valuable resources, versatile and adaptable to many uses. Recycling your empty Maker & Merchant bottles helps keep valuable materials out of landfills and helps reduce energy use and emissions. Simply rinse your used bottles and place in your curbside recycling for processing. Always be sure to check with your local program to ensure they will take your bottles, or visit https://iwanttoberecycled.org to learn more about how to reduce your impact!
In addition to Maker & Merchant’s product containers, we also take into consideration our packing and shipping materials. The boxes we use are made up of post- consumer materials and our packing materials are compostable and/or recyclable.
